Description

Peridot has an oily luster and gets its color from iron. Most Peridot is magnesium-rich forsterite and is a type of the mineral group known as olivine. It is usually in embedded grains, rarely in free growing crystals; commonly any free crystals that are found will have been altered to serpentine.
